FAQ

Questions, answered straight.

No fluff. Here is exactly what AfterSwipe is, how it works, and what it does with your data.

What is AfterSwipe?

AfterSwipe is a reply helper for dating apps. You paste what your match said, or a screenshot of the conversation, and it gives you three ready-to-send replies in your own voice, plus a one-line read of what is really going on. It takes about ten seconds.

Does it message my matches for me?

No, never. AfterSwipe writes the reply and hands it to you. You read it, tweak it if you want, and send it yourself from your own app. It never logs into your accounts and never sends a word on your behalf.

Isn't this kind of... cheating?

It's the same help a good friend gives when you hand them your phone and say "what do I even say to this?" Every fact in the reply is true, every word is in your voice, and you choose what to send. The person they're talking to is still you, just without the twenty minutes of overthinking.

Which apps does it work with?

All of them. Tinder, Hinge, Bumble, Coffee Meets Bagel, OkCupid, Instagram DMs, regular texting, anything. You paste the message or drop a screenshot, so there is nothing to connect and no setup.

Can it write my opening line?

Yes. Just matched and staring at their profile? Upload a screenshot of it (instead of a conversation), set the stage to "Just matched," and you get three openers built on real details from their profile. It deliberately skips the obvious thing everyone else comments on and finds the detail nobody noticed.

Do I have to type out who I am?

No. In "Your vibe" you can upload screenshots of your own dating profile and AfterSwipe pulls in your bio, prompts, and details for you to review and edit. Add a few real messages you've sent so it learns how you type, and you're set. Everything it knows about you is something you approved.

Is it just for men messaging women?

Not at all. AfterSwipe is for everyone: man to woman, man to man, woman to woman, nonbinary folks, every pairing. There are optional "you are" and "they are" settings that help replies read naturally, and if you leave them blank, everything stays gender-neutral. The advice never changes based on gender, because good conversation doesn't.

Will the replies sound like a bot?

No, and that is the whole point. Paste a few of your real messages and AfterSwipe learns how you type, down to whether you write "you" or "u." The reply reads like you on a good day, not like a chatbot.

Will it make up stuff about me?

Never. AfterSwipe only uses true facts you gave it. It will not invent a job, a hobby, a story, or a plan. If it needs a detail, it leaves a blank like [your go-to spot] for you to fill in. You will never be on a date explaining a hobby you don't have.

Is this a pickup-artist thing?

No. There is no negging, no games, no fake scarcity, no routines, and it will not help you pressure anyone. The playbook is simple: match their energy, show real curiosity, keep it low pressure, be yourself but on time. If someone says they're not interested, it helps you take that with class.

What happens when a match goes quiet?

AfterSwipe writes a light re-engagement message with no guilt in it, plus a different follow-up to send a couple of days later if the silence continues. That's the double tap. After that, it tells you to let it go, because two good messages is the right number and chasing never works.

Are my conversations private?

Yes. AfterSwipe never connects to your dating apps and never sees anything you don't paste. What you do paste stays private: we never train on your conversations and never sell them.

Will it write the spicy stuff?

It keeps things flirty, not explicit. If a conversation is heating up, AfterSwipe writes charming, tasteful replies or steers toward actually meeting up. It won't write sexting for you. You can paste any conversation, though, it doesn't get flustered, it just keeps its own replies classy.

How old do I have to be?

18 or older, no exceptions. You'll enter your date of birth when you create an account, on every signup path. And if anything in a conversation suggests the person on the other end might be under 18, AfterSwipe stops flirting entirely and tells you to close the chat.

What does it cost?

Basic is $9 a month for 100 replies. Plus is $15 a month for 500 replies and adds voice matching and profile import. Pro is $25 a month for 900 replies. Replies reset on the 1st, you can switch plans anytime, and every plan starts with a 7-day free trial. It is free during the beta.

What counts as a reply?

One tap of "Get my replies" uses one, and you get all three options plus the read for it. Copying a follow-up or re-reading past results costs nothing. Most people use well under their plan's allowance; if you run out, you can upgrade or wait for the 1st.

Stop staring at their message wondering what to say.

The next conversation that stalls out does not have to end there.
